"Wine not?" is a bordeaux shade with red undertones. The hair does not need to be bleached as light as it does for other colors; however, the resulting color will be more muted and less vibrant. For optimal results, we recommend the following process: Bleach your hair—the lighter, the better. Wait 48 hours and wash your hair twice. Dampen your hair and let it dry in a towel for about 10 minutes. Protect the surrounding skin with baby oil, Vaseline, or cream. Note: The dye can stain skin and fabrics. Apply the dye generously, strand by strand. Use disposable gloves and a hair-dyeing brush (both available at drugstores). Leave on for 30 minutes or longer; heat enhances the result. Do not use conditioning products (such as shampoos containing silicone) before dyeing, as this may prevent the color from taking properly. You can also mix colors from the same brand. These hair dyes are not intended for use on eyebrows or eyelashes; avoid contact with eyes at all costs! The color will gradually wash out over time. Staining of fabrics is possible even after dyeing! Color results may vary. We therefore recommend performing a test on a small section of hair before applying the color to your entire head.
