💥 Bleach Bath – Gently Remove Hair Color Residue

💥 Bleach Bath – Gently Remove Hair Color Residue

“Mirror, mirror on the wall…” 🪞
…and suddenly you realize: your old hair color doesn’t look that fresh anymore 😬

No worries, before you jump straight into a full-on bleach session, there’s a gentler option:
👉 a bleach bath

🧪 What is a bleach bath?

A bleach bath is basically a weaker version of a full bleach.
It uses the same ingredients, just heavily diluted.

➡️ Less hydrogen peroxide
➡️ Mixed with shampoo
➡️ Much gentler on your hair

💡 Perfect for you if:

  • you want to remove leftover hair color

  • your color has become patchy

  • you’re preparing for a new shade 🎨

👉 If you want to try other methods first:
remove old hair color – which method works best for your hair

⚠️ When is a bleach bath NOT suitable?

As gentle as it is, it has limits:

❌ Very dark natural hair
❌ Strong regrowth
❌ If you want to lift several levels

➡️ You might end up with orange or red tones 🍊

🛒 What you need

For your bleach bath, you’ll need:

  • 30 g developer (1.9–3%)

  • 30 g bleach powder

  • 60 g shampoo (add more for a milder mix)

  • Bowl (plastic or ceramic)

  • Tint brush

  • Gloves 🧤

  • Kitchen scale

💡 Tip: Start with a low strength and repeat if needed. Your hair will thank you!

✂️ How to apply – step by step

1. Preparation

Apply on unwashed, towel-dried hair.

➡️ Protect clothes & surroundings
➡️ Put on gloves (trust us 😅)

2. Mix

Measure everything carefully and mix well.

❗ Important:
No metal tools – chemistry, you know… 🧪

3. Application

  • Section your hair

  • Apply to lengths first, then roots

  • Work quickly but thoroughly

4. Processing time

⏱️ 5–10 minutes (max. 20 minutes!)

👉 Check regularly to avoid:

  • unwanted orange tones

  • over-lightening

5. Rinse & aftercare

Rinse thoroughly with water 🚿

Now comes the important part:

👉 If you want to dye your hair right after:

  • DO NOT use conditioner beforehand!

  • Why? Care products create a coating around your hair
    ➡️ Color can’t absorb evenly
➡️ Result: patchy or uneven color 😵‍💫

👉 Color first, then condition!

✔️ After coloring, make sure to use
care products for color-treated hair to:

  • smooth the hair structure

  • restore moisture

  • help your color last longer 💧

👉 If you’re not coloring right away:
Treat your hair to a deep conditioning mask. It deserves it 💚

🌿 Extra tip for colorful hair

After a bleach bath, your hair is the perfect canvas 🎨

But keep in mind:
➡️ The lighter and more even your base, the better your color result

Our vegan colors are perfect for this – they are:

  • cruelty-free

  • made in Europe

  • gentle on your hair structure

✨ Conclusion

A bleach bath is your go-to if you want to:

✔️ remove leftover color
✔️ gently prep your hair
✔️ avoid harsh bleaching

👉 It doesn’t replace a full bleach,
but it’s often the perfect in-between step 💡

And remember:
Sometimes the mirror is right… but a little drama is part of the fun 😄🔥
