🎨 Mixology Special: How to Mix Your Own Grey Shades – From Smokey to Space Grey
Grey is anything but boring! With a bit of know-how, you can use Grey Skull and Allergic to Color (our Colors of the Month!) plus other Headshot shades to create endless grey variations: soft pastel looks, mysterious smokey greys, futuristic space tones with blue or purple, and even edgy grunge greys with green undertones. 😍🖤🌫️
Before we start, here’s what you need to know:
Grey Skull + Matrix Color Base → don’t mix, because Grey Skull is already very light and the Base would dilute it too much.
Perfect Match: Grey Skull pairs beautifully with Blackout for darker greys.
Creative Mixology: You can also mix Grey Skull and Allergic to Color with other Headshot colors or Color Masks to create cool or expressive grey variations.
And of course, in January: Grey Skull & Allergic to Color are Colors of the Month – discounted in the cart! 🛒✨
Let’s unlock your new Grey Mixology skills!

💡 1. Smokey Dark Grey – Grey Skull + Blackout 🖤🌫️
For everyone who wants a deeper, smokier grey.
Mix:
2 parts Grey Skull
1 part Blackout
Result:
dark, cool smokey grey
perfect for underlights, shadow roots or full-head looks
more intense than Grey Skull alone, but still cool-toned
Tip:
The more Blackout you add, the smokier and more mysterious the shade becomes — but avoid mixing 1:1, or you’ll lose the grey character.
💡 2. Frosted Lavender Grey – Grey Skull + Psycho Purple or La La Lila 💜🧊
For an icy, slightly lavender grey with beautiful depth.
Mix:
3 parts Grey Skull
1 part Psycho Purple
OR for a softer, lighter result:
4 parts Grey Skull
1 part La La Lila
Result:
lavender-cool grey
anti-yellow effect thanks to violet pigments
gorgeous on very light blonde hair
Perfect for:
Fans of frosty pastel greys or trends like Silver Lilac.

💡 3. Space Blue Grey – Grey Skull + Fuck You I’m Magic! or Badass Blue 💙✨
A modern, slightly blue grey look — futuristic & super crisp.
Mix:
3 parts Grey Skull
1 part Fuck You, I’m Magic! (cooler blue)
OR
3 parts Grey Skull
1 part Badass Blue (stronger blue sheen)
Result:
cool steel grey with a blue space tint
ideal for holographic or cyber-inspired looks
covers yellow tones extremely well
💡 4. Grunge Green Grey – Grey Skull + Grr Grr Green or Color Mask Hallogreen 💚🖤
A bold, alternative look for anyone who loves it edgy.
Mix:
4 parts Grey Skull
1 part Grr Grr Green
OR
3 parts Grey Skull
1 part Color Mask Hallogreen for a softer effect
Result:
smoky grey with deep, mossy green undertones
amazing for cyberpunk or grunge aesthetics

💡 5. Soft Rose Grey – Grey Skull + Pink Elephant or Color Mask Stranger Pinks 💗🌫️
Romantic, unique & super photogenic!
Mix:
4 parts Grey Skull
1 part Pink Elephant
OR
3 parts Grey Skull
1 part Color Mask Stranger Pinks for a subtler pink glow
Result:
cool grey with rosy reflections
